We are pleased to announce that SACCAWU and Shoprite Checkers have officially signed a 2-year wage and substantive agreement following a successful Section 150 intervention at the CCMA.

Wage Increases:

Year 1: 6% increase. Year 2 (First Half): 5% increase. Year 2 (Second Half): Additional 0.5% increase.

Key Substantive Victories:

Job Security: Permanent Part-Time employees will be converted to Permanent Full-Time status.

Other Benefits:

Agreement reached on crucial substantive working conditions.
