Capricorn FM News writes that the South African Democratic Teachers Union in Limpopo says it welcomes with open hands the Medium-Term Budget Policy statement announced by minister Enoch Godongwana as it confirms that there will be funds allocated towards salaries of personnel in the health, education and police services.
Godongwana says additional funding of R24 billion this year and R74 billion over the medium term will be used to fund the 2023/24 wage increase and the associated carry-through costs in the three sectors.
SADTU’s provincial secretary Sowell Tjebane says the minister has honored the multi-year wage agreement.
