SABC News writes that Public sector labour unions are currently consulting with their members on the latest government wage offer of 4.7%. The country’s organised labour has been engaged in wage negotiations with the employer at the Public Sector Coordinating Bargaining Council ahead of the 2025 financial year. Public sector workers had initially demanded a 12%  salary increase, but have now revised their demand to 7.5% while government is offering 4.7%.
